Time has passed so quickly, hasn’t it? It was like a brief taste of chocolate, like a stolen kiss; the way we used to sneak mum’s chocolates into our chair cushion fort. Do you remember, the way they tasted? Like nothing I’ve tasted since. Warm chocolate on your lips and adventure, mischief, and the unending trust you had. Sometimes when we ride through the forests and you feel the wind in your hair and we talk of impossible things; I kiss you and I can still taste it. But time here travels at a snail’s pace, because I’m without you.

moderationPerhaps it is easier to ignore the deep feeling of longing in my chest. I should simply squelch it like a bug, an irritation, something that could be ignored but should be squashed immediately out of principle...but I can't. The Reader x (insert character here) stories dominating the lit section of dA?

I'll say that some of them are good, and they are, but most of them just...really?

Look, I get it. reading a cutsey/erotic/fun story featuring you and your favorite character, that's cool. But why don't you just take a fanfiction and I dunno, insert yourself? Or write your own and just keep it for you. Only you. Never to be seen on the internet.

Ever.

It's sorta a "not-my-kink" thing but I feel like literature, fanfiction included, deserves a little better than "insert you here" stories. I personally like Mary Sue's more than I like "insert you here".
